Gülçin started working with PostgreSQL in 2012. Over the years, she has contributed to the PostgreSQL community by organizing conferences, delivering talks and engaging as a dedicated community member. In recognition of her commitment, Gülçin was elected to the PostgreSQL Europe Board in 2017.
Gülçin took on the role of Cloud Services Manager and led the cloud development efforts at 2ndQuadrant which was later acquired by EDB in 2020. Committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, she is an integral part of Postgres Women advocating for increased representation of women and all underrepresented people in tech.
Gülçin got recognized as an official PostgreSQL Contributor. She currently works as Technical Product Manager at Xata.

PostgreSQL 18 introduces temporal keys, NOT ENFORCED constraints and promotes NOT NULL to a first-class constraint. Constraint handling for partitioned tables has also improved. In this session, we’ll walk through these changes with practical examples and finish with a sneak peek at what’s coming in PostgreSQL 19.
