What Microsoft is Building for Postgres in 2025

In this talk, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of everything that Microsoft is building for Postgres. This includes work in the Postgres open-source ecosystem and some of the significant contributions we’re making to Postgres 18, as well as our investments in Azure Database for PostgreSQL, which simplify database management and improve security when running Postgres in the cloud. Plus, our active participation in the Postgres community—which includes sponsorships of Postgres conferences and the organizing of POSETTE: An Event for Postgres, a free and virtual event now in its 4th year.
